Maia Luxury Resort and Spa, on the main island in The Seychelles, Mahe, sits at Anse Louis on a private peninsula, with an isolated, pristine, sand beach. Just 25 minutes drive from the airport, the resort comprises 12 hectares of award-winning tropical gardens including a wide variety of endemic plants and spices. All 30 thatched, spacious 250m2 villas are completely private, with dedicated 24hour butler service, private infinity pools, sun decks with day beds and a sunken bath and all have magnificent views over the Indian Ocean. The butler provides services including barbeques, private dinners, in villa or on the terrace, beach or in the gardens, romantic baths with essential oils and excursions to other islands by car, boat and helicopter.
The open air Maia Spa by La Prairie offers indulging treatments including the signature 20 Dancing Fingers massage, The La Prairie Caviar Firming Facial and massages for children as part of the VIK, Very Important Kids, programme. The Spa also has complimentary daily classes in Yoga, Qi Gong and Self Shiatsu and Technogym equipment including Excite machines.
The gourmet restaurant Tec Tec, open air and only a few metres from the beach and the swimming pool, serves Oriental, French and Mediterranean cuisine with Asian and Creole spices created by four Chefs. Tec Tec also has a Sunset Bar, which is a great spot for enjoying a cocktail whilst watching the sun go down and bar can also arrange shisha pipes, low calorie or special dietary meals and cocktail mixing classes.
An alternative activity, that allows guests to explore their oenological preferences, is the Wine Sign. This encourages guests to step out of their comfort zone and blind taste Grand Crus wines with one of MAIAs sommeliers, to discover their personal Wine Sign.
